That Restless Feeling Might Be Holy

Have you ever felt that quiet, nagging sense that something isn’t quite right?


Like a nudge deep down that says, “This could be better; God wants to do something here.”
It’s not about pushing harder or doing more.

It’s something deeper, a sense you can’t easily shake.

We call this kingdom discontent. It’s what happens when you see the world the way God sees it. You notice the broken parts, and once you see them, you can’t unsee them. It’s what happens when you start to see the cracks in the world around you, and you can’t unsee it or unknow it. When business as usual starts to feel like it’s not enough, and you begin to sense there’s something more you’re meant to step into.

At Project Nexus, we’ve been meeting people who feel this way, too. People who can’t ignore the pull toward something new. Compelled by the Spirit to reimagine, to rebuild, to respond and to lead. To see God’s kingdom come.

For those people, we have created Incubate, a space where that unsettled feeling doesn’t have to be pushed aside. It’s for people beginning to dream again, who feel the pull to take a risk, and who sense Jesus calling them to lead into something new. A place to wonder out loud and say, “I’m not exactly sure where this is going… but God, I know I need to start.

So if you’re feeling that nudge you can’t ignore—if you’re done hoping someone else will step in and wondering if maybe, just maybe, you and God are meant to bring something to life together, come and find us.

Because beneath the frustration, there might be a spark of something.

It might be an invitation.
