John 12:23-24
Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.
1st Corinthians 15:36
What you sow does not come to life unless it dies.

So it is with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus.
And so it is with us–with our spirits and even with our dreams.
So often, following Jesus into the ways He desires to use us requires the death of something. The relinquishing of something. And usually, of many things.
Of desires. Of ideal. Of expectations. Of ambition. Of self-sufficiency. Of agency. Of pride. Of control. Of judgement. Of unforgiveness.
Of self.
And then our own three days.
Between death and life.
Between dark and light.
The in-between wait, where wonder and worst-case and whether-or-not weighs on the wandering mind.
When you have poured out your ideas. Your passion. Your hopes. And handed it all over to God, the true author and perfecter.
And then.
Resurrection.
New life.
Rebirth.
And the realisation of God-given dreams. The honouring of who He masterfully made you to be. Unmasked and unmitigated.
Deserts become Eden, and wastelands become gardens.
Praise God that He can be trusted to revive–to create and recreate!
To give life to the dead and call into being things that were not. Yet.
But it is possible that if something doesn't die, and if you don't wait, you miss seeing the resurrected Jesus waiting on the other side, carrying the most Spirit-filled and redeemed form of your dream for you, desiring to carry it with you.
What needs to die for you today, so that new life can emerge?
